Change at the top for Hednesford Town Council

Veteran councillor Doris Grice has handed over the reins to her colleague Alan Pearson as Hednesford Town Council forges ahead into the new political year.

Councillor Pearson took on the chairman’s role for 12 months of town council meetings to replace Cllr Grice who has been at the helm since May 2014.

Fellow councillors thanked Cllr Grice for her service and wished Cllr Pearson in his new role.

Councillor Grice said she was proud to have served as chairman and that she knew she was handing over the responsibility into safe hands.

Councillor Brian Gamble was appointed Vice-Chairman.

The next full council meeting is on Tuesday, June 23 and members of the public are welcome to attend.
