Pye Green Community Centre Closed
In response to Government guidance on social distancing Pye Green Community Centre has been closed for the foreseeable future.
Hednesford Town Council has kept under review over the last few weeks as the developing situation around the Coronavirus pandemic has evolved. With the closure of schools the Council feels this is an appropriate time to close the Community Centre for use until such time as Government advice changes and it is considered safe to open the community centre again.
The Council is working with all the regular hirers to ensure a managed and orderly shutdown and in conversation with all booking through to the end of June to advise everyone of the situation.
Chair of the Pye Green Community Centre Management Committee Cllr Robin Kingston said
“We thank both our staff and our clients for their support of the Council and Centre over the long term and we hope this crisis passes quickly and the important services to our community may resume.”
It is anticipated that all operational staff will be placed on furlough under the government scheme as details become available.
If anyone has any questions about bookings already made, please contact the council directly.
The Council encourages all residents of Hednesford and beyond to be safe, be well and be kind to each other as the strong community we are all here to help each other through this crisis.
The Council will keep this situation under review and make further announcements in due course
