Praise for poppies amid Remembrance honours
Keen knitters in Hednesford have been praised for their efforts by the council after the town centre was adorned with colour to mark 100 years since the end of the first world war.
Town council chairman Alan Pearson said ahead of yesterday’s Remembrance ceremony: “It really has been special to see these poppies. A big thank you to everyone who did such a lovely job providing these beautiful knitted flowers.”
